Christian Harvey had 29 points, while sophomore Rickie Wedlow added 22 points as Richmond held off a hot-shooting Indianapolis Home School team by a score of 73-65.
Wedlow came alive in the second quarter, hitting three 3-pointers and totaling 11 points as the Red Devils (3-5) pushed to a 39-30 halftime lead. Kei’Shaun Clemons chipped in nine points and six rebounds as Richmond will move into the winner’s bracket of the annual holiday tournament.
Sid Sagna also had seven points in a reserve role to help top the Wildcats, who connected on 11 3-point field goals.
Richmond will play at 8:30 p.m. Thursday in the quarterfinals of the Wettig Tournament at Tiernan Center.
