Multiple Teams · IS Track Finishes Successful Season

Richmond Middle School finished up their track season at the Union City Invite where our girls 4×100 meter relay team took home 1st place.  The relay is comprised of Khalidah Hickson, Loni Eubanks, Mallory Cook and Tamia Hampton.  Landon Smith came in 2nd for both the 1600 and 800 Meter Run with a PR of 5:34 for the mile and 2.26 for the 800.  Richmond Girls finished 4th out of 9 teams and the boys finished 5th out of 10.

This season was filled with improvement from meet to meet where several student athletes were able to hit goals they set early on.  Shelby Bolser had her PR in the mile with a time of 5:54 and Claire Reising PR of 6:37, while Dameon Newman and Lucas Hall each had PR’s in the 400 at 1:02 and 1:01 respectively.  Drew Hardwick and Alex Martinez also showed much improvement in the 400 PR at 1:06 each.  We had many younger kids step up due to injuries and such with Zion Deloney stepping in for the 4 x 100 meter relay and Ben Jackson PR in the mile at 6:30.

Anthony Cross finished 1st in several meets for the 100 Meter Dash and Aubrey Uhte finished 2nd at the Connersville Meet with a time of 18:45.

One of the biggest highlights for this season is Aiden Snedigar qualified for state in the discus and Shelby Bolser qualified in the mile!

We will be losing several 8th graders as they graduate middle school and enter into a new season called High School.  We wish Khalidah Hickson, Jayci Allen, Mallory Cook, Kinsey Bosell, Allana Carpenter, Loni Eubanks, Nik Fulton, Tamia Hampton, Brianna Hillard, Xavier Long, Molly O’Brien, Nate Parson, Brigitte Reynols, Sierra Rust, Aubrey Uhte, Lauren Uhte, Tristan Washington, Landon Smith and Aiden Snedigar all the best!!
