Multiple Teams · Boys Track Wraps Up Impressive Regional Performance

Thursday night was marked with several impressive performances from the Richmond Red Devils.

The night opened with back-to-back PRs from senior Kody Reece. He jumped a 17-inch PR in the long jump of 21′ 5.5″, which clinched him fourth place.

Reece wasn’t done impressing yet. He led off the 4×100 meter relay consisting of junior Jermayne Stanley, freshman Gage Puterbaugh, and sophomore Teddy Sumling who nailed a PR of 43.33 seconds–also a fourth-place finish. Sumling nailed down the third fourth-place finish of the night in the 100 meter dash with a PR of 11.17 seconds.

The only other scoring finish of the night was Stanley in the 200 meter dash with an eigth-place time of 23.19 seconds.

Other competitors from the Red Devils included the 4×800 meter relay of junior Alec Snedigar, senior Tristan Kier, senior Luis Vivanco, and senior Derick Casiano, as well as the 4×400 meter relay of Reece, Snedigar, junior Julian Holguin, and sophomore Vincent Narcisse. Narcisse’s leg was another PR, with an unofficial hand-timed leg in the 52s.
