Multiple Teams · Richmond IS Cross Country Off to Strong Start

The Richmond Intermediate Cross Country teams began their season with the inaugural Richmond Invite held at IU East on Saturday.  Richmond, Marion, Hagerstown, and Northeastern participated in the intermediate school division.  The field is expected to increase next year as this is held in conjunction with the Richmond Hounds and Hares Varsity Invite.

All of the runners gave a great effort!  Highlights include Richmond winning the girls division while Shelby Bolser won the race with a time of 13:26.

The boys finished 3rd as a team, but they were very close to improving at several positions.  From Coach Stacy Bolser, “All of the kids worked hard Saturday.  However, Sam Reising first year ever running cross country competed head to head with Grant Luebbe from Northeastern.  It came down to the end and was exciting to say the least.  Sam fought hard and never gave up, stayed mentally tough and fought for 2nd place!”
