Girls Varsity Softball · Softball Finishes Second at Invitational


The Red Devils placed 2nd in the Richmond Invitational. The invitational was against 4 softball teams including, Richmond, Hagerstown, Jay County, and Centerville.

In the first game, Richmond faced Hagerstown and won by a score of 4-1.

Sophomore Courtney Mullins scored 1 run in the 2nd inning. Senior Claira Laughlin hit a home run, allowing senior Eva Bosell and sophomore Abby Brewer to also make it to home plate, overall ending the 3rd inning with 3 runs. Freshman Laurelai Depew struck out 5 girls.

 

The Red Devils lost against Jay County during the Championship game with a score of 1-13.

Depew hit a home run in the 5th inning and struck out 2 girls overall in the game. Senior Kelsey Mullins got 2 people out, both in the 2nd inning. E. Bosell and senior Shylah Gibson also got 2 people out each.

The Red Devils will take on Wapahani High School, April 16th at home at 5:00 pm.
