Multiple Teams · Cross Country Summer Schedule (IS and RHS)

Richmond Cross Country Summer Schedule & Expectations:

Starts June 3rd

Monday ~ Run with me at Family Fitness Works by post office, 6:30 pm

  • Run Cardinal Greenway, choose pace and distance (long run)
  • Goal is to get up to 10 miles for HS by end of summer, 6 miles for Middle School

Wednesday ~ Earlham College 7PM, meet at back of parking lot off of G Street near track

  • 4 mile run with hills!
  • Can cut mileage back for beginners

Thursday ~ Meet at RHS by track, 7PM

Saturday Morning Runs ~ These are weekly at 7:30 AM and destination changes.  Email notifications will be given each week.  (need your email address to get signed up)


Summer Training Logs:

  • At bottom of page, go to JOIN
  • Sign up your info and create account and password
  1. Change start week from Sunday to Monday
  2. Don’t check log is public box or heart rate box
  3. Click sign up button

This is where you will track your mileage each week which the coaches will be monitoring every Sunday.

Mileage Goals:

High School ~ 30 miles per week (June), 40-50 miles per week including more structured workouts (July)

Middle School ~ 15 miles per week (June), 20 miles per week (July)

**There are 3 days per week to run with others, however the only way you will get to your mileage goal is to run on your own the other days of the week.  I would encourage the team to work with each other to schedule group or partner runs to create team building and accountability.  **


To be a good runner, one must do more than run.  There will be opportunities for strength/conditioning/flexibility on other days.  TBD
