Six Richmond players netted at least eight points as a balanced offensive effort pushed the Red Devils to a 74-46 win against Hagerstown on Friday at Tiernan Center.
Andrew Kroft had 11 of his team-high 15 points in the opening quarter as Richmond (1-1) burst to a 26-7 lead against the Tigers (1-2). Tytan Newton added 1 points, while Cleevas Craig chipped in 10 points to be the third Richmond player in double figures.
Tylan Harris and Koream Jett each had nine points, while senior Jordan Stolle chipped in eight.
Richmond pushed the lead as high as the mid-30s before emptying its midway through the fourth quarter. All 12 Red Devils who dressed got at least three minutes of action with nine Richmond players garnering points. Sophomore Tristian Washington excited the Tiernan crowd with four late points.
The Red Devils junior varsity earned its first win of the year with a 62-44 victory. Jamaal Alexander netted 23 points to lead all scorers, while Marquis Johnson totaled 14 points.
Richmond returns to action on Saturday when they play host to East Central. The junior varsity tip is set for 6 p.m.
