Hannah Trotter, the daughter of Traci and Patrick Trotter, will be swimming for Hanover this upcoming season. Hanover is located in Madison, IN and is a member of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC). “I chose Hanover for the academics that they offer and having the chance to continue to swim after high school. The campus is beautiful and I like the family atmosphere.” Hannah will be double majoring in Nursing and Spanish.
During her time at RHS, Hannah has swam Varsity for 4 years and earned the Most Improved award. She also played soccer for 4 years (3 Varsity) and tennis for 3 years (2 Varsity). Hannah also received the Most Improved award for tennis and earned the Three Sport award as well.
Staying active in multiple sports throughout the years helped her prepare for each swimming season. When looking back on her high school career, Hannah said, “I would like to thank my coaches throughout the years that have provided guidance and pushed me to do better. My family and friends for being there and encouraging me thru the years. Like Gary says, ‘Whatever it takes.'”
Coach Stephanie Hoober is excited to see another Red Devil swimmer continue at the college level. “Hannah has grown so much over the last 4 years. She has learned that hard work garners success and that is a lesson that will allow her to continue achieving her goals at Hanover. Hannah is fiercely loyal and brings a bit of sass and a competitive spirit to the pool. RHS will miss Hannah, but we are excited to see how much further Hannah can go during this next season!”
When asked about her time at RHS, Hanna said, “I’ve enjoyed attending RHS the last 4 years. Be sure to take advantage of all the opportunities that RHS offers. I’ve had so many great memories that I will cherish. I will miss all of the amazing people that I’ve met along the way. I will miss walking the halls, teammates, friends, teachers, eating lunch with Stephanie, and Gary’s bagels… I can’t wait for the next chapter!!!”
CongRatulations, Hannah! We R pRoud of you!
