WAYNE COUNTY CHAMPIONS Richmond Boys Cross Country delivered another dominant performance, winning the 2026 Wayne County Invitational at the IU East Cross Country Course with just 20 points. TEAM RESULTS 1. Richmond – 20 2. Centerville – 62 3. Hagerstown – 71 4. Seton Catholic – 98 5. Northeastern – 122 Cale Newton led the way once again, winning the individual championship in 16:10.69. Richmond placed FIVE runners in the Top 7 overall: 1st – Cale Newton | 16:10.69 3rd – Dash Thacker | 17:06.74 4th – Brady Newton | 17:25.10 5th – Walt Brazil | 17:46.74 7th – Henry Christian | 19:00.98 Trevin Crosby added a 9th-place finish in 19:24.34, giving the Red Devils six runners in the Top 10. Kolden Carpenter finished 15th in 20:05.34 to round out Richmond’s top seven. Another championship performance for the Red Devils, who continue their outstanding start to the season.
