It’s not how you start a season, but how you finish that matters. The Bulldogs struggled with random quarantines and academic issues. The final few days all the players were available. They ended the week with 2 solid wins.
A good athletic, long, tall Muncie South team came to Dennis Thursday night. The Bulldogs took control of the game early with the most effective defense played all season. Both teams tenacity made for an old fashioned, physical battle. One Bulldog injured his wrist and had to receive medical treatment. The Bulldogs outhustled and out rebounded the Muncie opponent and came out on top 44-35.
Offensively, we overcame various defenses thrown at us. Turnovers were kept to a minimum. The most efficient game of the season by far.
Deiondre Clinton led the way with 11. JD Hogg 10. Jacob Stephens 8. Zion Belcher 7. Kody Williams 6. Deonte Watkins 2.
Our thoughts are with the Bulldog for a speedy recovery. Great team win that displayed what should’ve been the entire season.
