After defeating Kokomo last night, the Red Devils traveled to Lafayette Jeff today to take on the Broncos.

The Red Devils were slow out the gate, but took over the lead after a couple minutes into the first quarter. Mental errors kept the Red Devils at bay, but they would still lead going into the second quarter. The Broncos continued to scrap with the Red Devils, resulting in many free throw attempts for Richmond. Four Red Devils found themselves on the stripe and would go on to knock down 10 of 15 freebies before the halftime buzzer.

In the second half, Richmond began to take off on the Broncos. They went on an 18 to 8 run to place them ahead 34-15 rolling into the final quarter. Able to rest some of their starters, Richmond would keep the lead, and go on to win their last NCC match-up 43-22.

The team effort would be led in scoring by Alayha Allen and Jakaia Lotz with 10 a piece. Orr and J. Allen would chip in with 9 and 7 respectively. Alayha Allen also pulled down an impressive 13 rebounds. Their next contest will be on Tuesday against Jay County in the Tiernan Center to round out regular season play. Varsity tips at 7:30PM.

In JV action, the Red Devils also clinched a win. In a back and fourth contest, the Red Devils locked down in the fourth quarter to pull ahead of the young Broncos. Kamryn Wright led all scorers with 13 followed by P. Morken with 7, Bolser with 3 and Hickson with 3. They too are back in action on Tuesday night.
