The Red Devils got off to a slow start Tuesday night at Franklin County. Despite many shot attempts, Richmond was unable to connect on any field goals during the first quarter putting them down 17-0 going into the second. The Red Devils clawed their way back into the game but found themselves trailing by 13 at intermission. Coming out of halftime, Richmond turned up the pressure. The Red Devils were able to outscore the Wildcats 10-5. Headed into the fourth the Red Devils were only down eight. In the last quarter the Richmond was able to get the game within four. Unfortunately a couple of turnovers forced the Red Devils into fouling, sending a consistent free throw shooting team to the line to seal a Wildcat victory. Leading all scorers was freshman Jakaia Lotz with 13 and senior Zoee Wooldridge with 12. Lotz and Woolridge also led in rebounding with eight and six respectively.
JV also had a tough loss Tuesday evening. The Red Devils struggled with scoring against the Wildcats resulting in 34-14 victory for Franklin County. Sophomore Abby Brewer led all scorers with seven.
