Tuesday night was the first home game for the RHS Girls Basketball team. The Red Devils were off to a good start against the Greenfield Central Cougars with a 11-6 lead at the end of the first quarter. Good defense helped keep the Red Devils in the game going into half time with only a two point deficit. The first half was sparked by senior Kierra Wright as she had 7 before intermission.
The Red Devils kept the game tight throughout the third quarter only trailing by one going into the 4th quarter. Late fouls by the Red Devils, and 90% free throw shooting by the Cougars in the fourth, helped to extend the Cougars lead.
The final score tuned out to be 59-42 in favor of Greenfield.
The Red Devils were led in scoring by sophomore Ajah Orr with 11, followed by seniors Kierra Wright with 9 and Zoee Woolridge with 8. Rebounding was led by sophomore Alayha Allen.
