The lady Devils fought a tough game at Pendleton Heights Thursday 5-3. The Devils scored first on a neatly crossed ball from Payton VanMiddlesworth to Riley Wetzel to take a 1-0 lead. The Devils tied the game 2-2 on a lofted pass to Nakala Bennett who placed a nice shot into the corner of the net. PH scored with two minutes left in the half to go up 3-2 at halftime.

PH scored another scored their fourth goal on a nice split pass to Helena Talbot about ten minutes into the second half. Richmond responded shortly after when VanMiddlesworth won the ball at midfield and passed it to Wetzel who hit Bennett on a beautiful split pass.

Both teams battled for the next 15 minutes, including a brilliant save by keeper Courtney McNew who stretched out to deflect a PK to keep the game close. PH scored a goal with two minutes left to make it 5-3.

Varsity Newcomers Brianna Hillard and Aliyah Porfidio performed well in their first experience against top-flight offensive players. Madeline Stults fought hard as a holding mid, protecting the middle.

The Devils play @ Indianapolis Arsenal Tech on Saturday.
