This young Red Devil team has showed moments of improvement throughout the year, and again put together strands of good golf Wednesday afternoon at the Elks Country Club.
However, it was not enough to overcome a dominate New Castle team as Richmond fell 178 – 155.
New Castle was lead by Dillion Bergum who fired a medalist round of 35 to lead his team, followed by Freshman Derek Tabor’s 38.
As has been the case all season, Jake Miller led Richmond with a 37 and feels as though he is close to putting it all together to finish out his senior year on a strong note.
Richmond had three holes that hurt them. Both par threes and the par five number seven pushed the limitations of Richmond’s patience. Collectively, Richmond was twenty three over on those three holes.
Richmond continues to struggle with their high numbers and will continue to focus on getting less of those throughout their round.
Richmond competes at the NCC Tournament in Noblesville on Monday.
