Focus. Determination. #gRit.
These are the three things the team discussed prior to their tri-match against Rushville (210) and Franklin County (206) Monday at Harbor Links.
The day did continue a “fun” trend of the season with high winds and tough courses. However, this time Richmond did not let one bad shot affect the rest of their round.
Richmond was led by Senior Jake Miller (39) and Junior Nathan Steele (40). The 40 for Steele was a new personal best, one which he looks to break very soon.
Carson LaFuse also received his first varsity opportunity and gained experience and confidence after starting off nervous to finish with a 55.
The team has been working very hard, but just has not been able to break out of their funk lately. Monday, the team showed some great signs of breaking free and playing well heading into the second half of the season.
Richmond gets back to competition on Wednesday at Forest Hills where they host the young, but very talented Monroe Central team.
Jake Miller: 39
Nathan Steele: 40
