IS Wrestling Wraps Up Successful Season

On Wednesday March 7th, the Richmond Intermediate Red Devil grapplers traveled to Hagerstown.  The team was shorthanded and dropped a pair of duals to both Hagerstown, and Connersville. IS Wrestling- Centerville Results

This weekend the individual tournament at Centerville was converted to a team tournament using the State Tournament bracket format.  Richmond finished 9th.  Below are the results:   Round 1/Pool A Richmond 21 Centerville 66 Ethan Neeley (102lbs) and Jake (110lbs) Necessary both won by Fall.  Natrell Whichard (80lbs) won his match in overtime (8-6).

IS Wrestling Falls to Franklin County

Richmond lost to a deep Brookville team; however, when removing the forfeits, Richmond only lost by 14 points. Several Richmond wrestlers had strong performance. Nate Parsons, Jake Necessary, Clay Sides, and Steven Hart won by pin. Jed Moore and Dustin Moore won by points. The Devils compete in the Union County Invitational this weekend.
